Timothy Mishler

Deputy Public Defender, he/him

Timothy completed his undergraduate degree in U.S. Political Science, with a minor in Political Science - Criminal Justice. He then attended Gonzaga University School of Law, and still cheers for Gonzaga basketball. He also studied abroad in Italy during his time in law school.

Timothy grew up in Ohio mostly but has lived in every region in the U.S., from New England to Florida and Washington State to Southern California. He has also lived abroad for a number of years. His hobbies include anything that he can do with his kids, especially activities in the wondrous Pacific Northwest outdoors. He plans to increase the difficulty of his ventures until he can climb Mt. Hood one day.

He chose to work in public defense because he passionately believes that the rights of the most vulnerable must be defended. He states that there is obvious evidence of entrenched systemic inequality in criminal justice; and that it exists in politics and governmental policy decisions through frontline policing into courthouse procedure and fact-finding and even in unequal judicial sentencing outcomes.
